Antique & Classic Boat Festival

Recap and Roundup from the 2014 Festival

The 2014 Antique & Classic Boat Festival, held August 23-24 at SHM Hawthorne Cove Marina in Salem MA was an unqualified success! Two days of beautiful weather – not too hot, not too cold, with a nice breeze – made for a comfortable time on the docks for the boat owners and participants, and attracted a near record number of spectators.

Over 35 boats were at the docks, split almost evenly between sail and power boats. The largest craft in attendance was the 44′ Ketch, English Martha, with the smallest being – imagine this – a 3’ 10” dinghy, named Francois, completed the day before the show.
